Since January we have been several places but I only have pictures of a couple. It is hard to drive and take pictures at the same time.
Our California trips have been fairly uneventful. That is except for the two flat tires on the motorhome on the way to San Luis Obispo.
Then I went to Liberal, Kansas for a show on the way to take care of family business in Missouri. On the way I took a little side tirp to Portales,New Mexico where my father worked on a ranch as a young man. On the way I drove into this,

That turned out to be the worst rain storm I have EVER driven in. When I got to Portales I was really glad I was driving my Jeep. The streets were full of water from curb to curb. Next morning you could hardly tell it had rained. Portales is in eastern New Mexico.
From there I went to Liberal Kansas. Be sure to check out the Show Stoppers album for some great quilts there.
Home from Kansas and Missouri I had two weeks to get ready for the Sisters Oregon show. There my friend Myra and I stayed in this beautiful restored 100 year old farm house with Sue, owner of the Spirit of Sisters shop.

So peaceful out in the country with red tailed hawks, chipmunks and humming birds. Also deer and horses.

Yep there is still snow up there on those mountains even in July.

Just a sample of the quilts hung on Saturday all over town.

Well that's if for the present. Our next trip will be to Battle Mountain, NV with a whole lot more desert.
