Hello everyone,
Well here we are home again, to say the least the last two months have been an experience, much of it good and some of it not so good.
Thank goodness for good friends. Here is a short travelogue so you all know I have not just been sitting around eating bon bons.
On Monday and Tuesday before Memorial Day hubby and I were in Sisters Oregon. Wednesday thank goodness for our friend and buddy Linda Everhart floor plans were drawn and the flier was done. Thursday found me on the road again on my way to Tulsa.
The Tulsa show was in a fantastic location out at the fair grounds. Free parking, air conditioned, and fabulous quilts. Unfortunately the crowds weren't there. Their loss for sure.
From Tulsa it was on to Kansas City, MO. to visit my 89 year old mother. She is doing well, living alone still and in reasonably good health. Number one son has a new home so of course had to go see that.
Next I could be found at Linda Everhart's home for several days. We brainstormed, came up with new patterns for each of us and in general had a great time. So far so good.
Estes Park, CO became another story. The show was great. As usual beautiful work and you couldn't ask for better people to work with. I have never felt so bad during a show. Sure like most I have worked through shows with colds and allergies but this was not good. Thank goodness for my neighboring vendor and the hotel maintenance man. These two men literally packed and loaded my booth for me on Sunday. I did not have the strength to do it. On Monday I drove back to Topeka, KS and spent two days recuperating at Linda's.
For those of you looking for me in Wichita I am sorry. That is the first show I have ever canceled. I came home to CA. and went to the Dr. The treadmill test was brutal, but no problems, so off to Oregon.
Thank you all who came to see us in Sisters, everyone in our Mini-Mall had a good show and a great time. I couldn't have had a better mix. Everyone was different and offered a wide variety of merchandise nor normally found in town.
Home again and found out what my health problem is. Very low Vitamin D levels. I had no idea that missing one little vitamin could have such an effect on a body. At least it is fixable.
Now that I am home I can get down to making samples of new patterns, and catching up on all the other stuff hubby didn't have time to do while I was gone.
Below is the last Anchor pattern. Hope you all have enjoyed making these little blocks.

Those terrific Kai scissors are back in stock. You can find them in the NOTIONS section of our on line catalog They were so popular at our last show that we sold out on the second day. Sure to make your next project a breeze. They are super sharp and cut extremely smooth edges. Treat yourself to an early Mother's Day present.
Check out the About Grannie 'G' page and you will find the new brochure for those of you who are program chairs to down load and share with your committee.
Until next time enjoy.
Check out this new site for quilt patterns.
